Hocking Hills Vacation

As somewhat locals, were from Jackson county We had a full week of activities in the area. It was a surprise to my children of all the activities to do so close to home. We didn't get to do everything we had set out to do. The activities are stretched out throughout the area but are easily driven too. The accommodations are outstanding as well. I can see the area really expanding in the future to become a big tourist destination. The cabin we rented was clean, stocked with equipment necessary to cook and well stocked with games and activities. The location is perfect for day trips to the cave and all the activities in the surrounding areas. Highly recommend this property. Staff was easy to contact and responded to all issues.

Everything at the Pine Hill Lodge was wonderful. Super clean, cozy and plenty of space for our group of 8 to spread out. We were very grateful for the two seating areas with the tvs as it literally rained a majority of the weekend. Thank you for a great weekend!!!!

We had a great time at this place. It was very clean and spacious for large groups. The hot tub was one of the nicest we have seen in a rental property. The fire pit outside was well stocked with wood and the fire place inside was great as well. Big kitchen area and plenty of room to prep your meals while you stay. 2 big "family" rooms to watch television and play games.

We are so thankful to have stumbled across Pine Hill Lodge online. The lodge was perfect for our large group and we especially appreciated the private bedrooms and full bathrooms on each level. Owners really provide everything you need: from bedding and linens, to firewood, propane for gas grill and fully stocked kitchen with diningware, utensils, pots/pans. Clean place. Great location. All enjoyed the spacious hot tub! Thanks for a wonderful weekend. We hope to stay again!

We do this every year, we've been to the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky several times, We've been to Hocking Hills area a few times and we've been to the Metamora area of Indiana. This cabin ranks with the best of them. The cabin was great, clean with a well equipped kitchen, everything work as advertised. The use of a washer/dryer if needed was nice. My boys really enjoyed the fire pit all weekend. All in all a great weekend. We had 8 adults and I know it sleep 12, but 12 people would be very tight. The only complaint my family had were the beds, everyone felt the beds needed to be upgraded. If you would upgrade the beds I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away for a week or a long weekend.

The Pine Hill Lodge was everything it said it would be based on the reviews and pictures from the website. The property was clean and stocked with all of your basics. The only thing that was missing for me and it really was not a problem is another television in the bedroom on the second floor. I'm a tv/movie freak and when everyone wanted to go to bed I couldn't watch anymore tv. Other than that the place was wonderful. My friends and I decided that we might make this an annual trip!

This was our 2nd.time staying @ Pine Hill. Our group of 8 once again had a blast! The cabin has all the comforts of home, very clean!! we also like the little thing that go a long way like, free firewood, a huge grill, air hockey and corn hole. My personal favorite is the hot tub after a long day of hiking !! Steps are steep inside cabin be careful!! Paved driveway is much improved over the old stone one!! Hard to find anything negative to say about Pine Hill Lodge. Well done !!! Well be back!!!!

I have been coming to the "hills" for the last 20 years. Our usual spot is no longer in business. after a lot of online researching. We picked Pine Hill Lodge. Very clean, one of the best hot tubs ever. The lodge is spacious. We did have a hard time finding it. You should have a sign at the end of the drive.and the driveway...is everything everyone has said......scary,narrow,rocky on an incline. Can't imagine it in the snowy months. I think a real driveway would be very beneficial. If your looking for nature, this has it all covered. Will definitely be back for another family get together. Great value for your money. Don't hesitate to book here, you'll love it!!

Thanks for your great comments! We just put in an asphalt driveway and we will be able to better treat it in the winter :)

We had a very good experience at Pine Hill Lodge. The property was exactly as represented-no surprises. It was quite easy to find, close to shops and outdoor activities. The lodge was very clean and comfortable-plenty of blankets, towels, and a very nice, well-stocked kitchen. We made all of our meals (for a large group) at the lodge. The hot tub was very nice-held six people comfortably. The fire pit was near the house and had lots of seating and plenty of firewood. The owners were available if we needed to contact them, and they let us know that a load of firewood was being delivered so we knew to expect someone. Overall, very nice property and good service.

Jason and Julie Hill gave us the cleanest, most well stocked and comfotable lodge getaway ever. AND over the last 20 years we have traveled to many States staying in private lodges, cabins, chalets and cottages. We would definitely stay here again. The beauty of the forest, doe and fawns, the sounds of a big old bull frog was a great addition to hiking the caves, hills and falls. The Lodge is situated near all the parks, dining and shopping in the area. You may have to drive a little to each location but this is true of all or any lodging in the Hocking Hills area. Pine Hills website supplied us with very accurate information. My family highly recommend this lodge and hope to return someday.

My group consits of 3 couples who have been renting cabins in the Hocking Hills region for 20 years. The Pine Hill Lodge is a very beautiful lodge that I would rank in the top 5 in the area. It was extremely clean and had plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. The firewood provided was an extra that we really enjoyed. They also have a gas grill making it easier to cook outside. The driveway is very steep but we made it up the hill just fine in the snow. Step are very icy so beware of the black ice when entering the cabin. Overall this is an excellent place to stay. We will be going back again next year.

We just returned from a Girls Getaway Weekend at Pine Hill Lodge, and everyone had a wonderful time. The Website and description is very accurate. The photos depicted the Lodge beautifully. What struck us most was how clean and comfortable this property was. Clearly a lot of thought went into making this a place you'll want to return to. While there were only four of us, you could easily bring twice that many people and still have plenty of room to spread out. Having a bathroom on each (3) floor was great for an all girls weekend. And the hot tub and fire ring were greatly appreciated. The location is nice. Even though you can see the other property, there is plenty of privacy, and in fact, if you had a lot of people, you could rent both and still feel like a cohesive group. Plan on bringing a 4 wheel drive. They don't call the area Hocking HILLS for nothing! As others may have mentioned, the stairs are a little steep, but that's why there is a bedroom and bathroom on the main level! All in all, a great property!

We loved our stay at Pine Hill Lodge. The layout was just perfect for our small group to gather for meals and around the fire, but have privacy when we wanted it. The beds were comfy, the hot tub felt great, and it had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time together. Entire house was squeaky clean. You should know that the stairs are tall and steep - not a problem at all for us 40-somethings, but may be for someone with knee issues or the elderly, as main living area is on 2nd floor. We hope to come back again!

These owners outdid themselves with this beautiful cabin. The cabin has 3 levels and is supplied with everything needed. The area is beautiful. Reservation was easy. They email directions and other information that makes it easy to find. We had people coming from several directions to enjoy the cabin, and all were able to locate without problems. Keep in mind, you are in the "hill country" and roads can be steep, but assessable. The cabin has plenty of room for guests and is equipped with grill, hot tub, air-hockey table, corn-hole, swing set, picnic table and fire ring with firewood! We couldn't have asked for more! Thank you to the owners for thinking of everything and making booking and our visit such a pleasant time!

Since I have stayed here before,I knew what to expect, hence my rating of "Met my expectations." My party liked it very much and expect to return. The cabin was clean and easy to get into. I have only two remarks. First, one of our party was unable to tune in any stations on the downstairs TV, but we didn't pursue that any further. It did work fine during our visit last October. There was no snow or ice on the driveway upon our arrival, so it should have been easy to get up. But the surface was mushy to the point of creating large ruts, which caused some difficulty. Upon departure, we found the ruts to have frozen, which offered other potential problems and alignment worries. It seems to me that anther layer of gravel would be effective. These two points were minor. Overall we are very satisfied. We could find no departure instructions, so we just did what seemed reasonable. Thanks

Ken, We are glad you returned and enjoyed your visit again. Once it dried out this spring, we had the drainage and the sub base of the driveway repaired. It is a more solid structure and better to drive on. I wish you would have called us about the satellite on the tv and we could have helped you get it to work. We have not had any further problems. There is a binder with departure instructions and other information on the counter in the kitchen. Thanks for your input and we hope to have you come again! Jason and Julie Hill

The lodge was a huge hit! Our group has spent a few autumn vacations in Hocking Hills and this was the best cabin we've had yet. The amenities are new, clean, and private. It was simple to find, convenient to enter with the keypad, and a shame to leave so quickly! Having the fire wood there and the close proximity to other attractions was great. You can tell the owners really care about this place. Try it out - you won't be disappointed!

The lodge was absolutely stunning. The six of us stayed there the weekend before my best friends wedding for her bachelorette party. Everyone had an amazing time and we plan on making it a yearly tradition to return. The property was so beautiful we loved the wrap around deck. Everything we needed was already there. There was more than enough space for all of us. Plenty of firewood and we all appreciated the hot tub greatly. It was very clean and orderly everything was easy to find. I would recommend this lodge the only downside is the stairs. They are very steep and could cause difficulty for someone with bad knees. However if you walk up the path leading to the back of the cabin you can enter the main living area.

This house is incredible. We had no problem finding the house and very easy to use the lock box. I emailed the owner a few times in advance asking a few questions and they were quick to respond. The best part is how clean the house was when we arrived. The surrounding woods is very nice and private. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. All around AWESOME house. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! When we were packing up to leave, we were lucky enough to meet the owners and share with them how wonderul everything was.

My family had a wonderful weekend at Pine Hill Lodge. The directions to find the lodge were very easy to follow. (Having our GPS helped, too!) There was no problem getting into the lodge. The keys were in the lock boxes, very easy to use! We were excited to see the firepit, complete with swing, benches and marshmallow roasting sticks! Inside the lodge is just beautiful! Knotty pine everywhere. Everything was fresh and clean as could be! The lodge was stocked perfectly for cooking. The towels and bedding all exactly what was needed. It was also a treat that there were games inside and outside and an air hockey table. I have nothing negative to say about Pine Hill Lodge. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thanks, Julie and Jason! Lauri

The house was very nice and clean. Had extras that were nice and unexpected like movies, games, flash lights. The only issue was that the bottom level was very cold. The temperature was probably in the 50 degree range even though the temperature was set at 72 degrees. The bottom level was not usable.
