Went for our 35 anniversary. Thorough enjoyed ourselves. Great beds Nice and secluded, but close enough to go to the caves. Only recommendation is to bring a 50' extension cord if you need electric up in the loft where the king size bed is. There are no outlets. Fireplace is great, but bring your own wood. We used about 4 store bought bundles each day to have a fire morning and evening. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you so much for opening your home to us! It really did exceed all of our expectations! We wanted to get away from all of the hustle and bustle and this was the cabin. We loved the peacefulness. The seclusion was what we werw looking for and the beautiful scenery. The cabin was super clean and smelled good. The beds were comfy, the decor was up to date, and we most definitely loved the hot tub! Again, thank you so much, we plan on staying there many more times! Bill & Jessica

We have stayed in many cabins in Hocking Hills area over the years. This cabin favorably compares, thanks for the robes! The furniture was really comfy. The main floor layout was great. Best of all- a WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE. This was important to us. We have gas logs in our home, but a romantic weekend calls for woodsmoke and stoking a real fire that changes every minute. The only thing that could make this cabin a complete winner-they need to put a queen size bed in the downstairs bedroom. It would be tight but workable. Most couples out of their 20's won't be comfortable in a full size bed. The loft bedroom had a huge comfortable bed, but the bathroom downstairs made for some nerve wracking trips down highly polished stairs in the semi darkness. I didn't feel safe. If you have any mobility issues or bad knees I would choose one of their other cabins which is our intent for the future. They are not as private, though, and way more house than the two of us need. Please get a larger second bed in the Getaway.

The Cardinal was everything we wanted and needed and more for our annual girls adventure! It was very clean, had all of the amenities we were looking for and the location was excellent. It was exactly how it was described on the website. I have no doubt the customer service is great, but we didn't need it for a thing because everything was awesome and in working order. Booking the cabin was so easy and the communication and directions were spot on. All of the fun of Hocking Hills was nearby and the cabin was easy to get back to. I would recommend this cabin to anyone and if you have a large group you could even rent out the other two cabins because they are close enough in proximity to be together as a group but far enough away to have your space. Perfect for groups of friends, families, couples, etc. We will definitely be making another trip to Aspen Ridge in the future, and I highly recommend you plan a trip there too!

The Blue Ash and the Getaway cabins

Review Posted: Aug 11    Date of Visit: July
We went to Hocking Hills as a large family group....14 total over the course of our 6 day visit. As some came to the cabins, others were in the process of leaving...4 generations were together on one beautiful day at Ash Cave! So, due to the size of our group, and the different ages involved, we chose to stay at The Blue Ash and The Getaway cabins offered by the Aspen cabin rental services. The cabins were just a walk away from each other...which was perfect for us! We loved the cabins and the solitude of the woods. The cabins were clean and appeared just as they were pictured. The only issue we did have was not having enough silverware/plates/cups and bowls. The Blue Ash was listed as being able to sleep 9...which it did, but there weren't quite enough plates etc. for everyone. We would highly recommend the cabins to anyone...especially if you are looking for peace and quiet and seclusion!

The cabin was beautiful and very modern. They provided games and a drawer of brochures for things to do around the area. It rained while we stayed, so we used the hot tub (which was under the roof and protected from the rain) quite a bit. The cabin also had central air, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to others. My reasoning for 4 stars: No wifi/ cell service, but that was also nice to be away from unless you needed a GPS No outlets on top floor Hammock outside could be fixed You can hear everything in the cabin - footsteps, talking, etc.

We had a girls weekend at the Blue Ash Cabin. It was perfect. Very clean and modern features. Plenty of sleeping spaces and the kitchen was stocked perfectly for our cooking needs. Even though it rained a lot we had plenty of space inside to play games and watch scary movies. We could also sit outside under the roof over the porch. I will be returning again and will recommend Aspen Ridge!

The cabin was wonderful. I loved everything about the cabin. We never left the cabin, we stayed there and enjoyed it. We played games and sat on the decks and talked. It was so relaxing. Taz our dog enjoyed it also when we would walk him he would always turn around and want to go back. I loved having the washer and dryer. It felt like home. We only had one complaint the road getting up to our cabin. It would be nice if it were paved or at least leveled out a little bit. We had a car, but there was a couple at another cabin with a hummer and they had trouble.

We stayed in The Cardinal, and absolutely loved it! Loved the gliders on the front porch :) and also enjoyed the back deck. Very quiet and peaceful place and so relaxing. Glad there wasnt any WiFi,just simple nature. I liked the idea of having some games and books available. Couple of suggestions would be better linens/towels. Bed spread was dirty and ceiling fans were covered in dirt/dust. Otherwise very nice cabin !!

My family and I escaped here for a few days last week, and it was just what we needed. It was a last minute plan, and we were fortunate enough to get the Cardinal cabin for a few nights just the week before we went. The website was accurate, and the property was very clean when we got there. It had everything that we needed to "get away from it all" for a few days, and we would definitely love to go back to do more exploring of Hocking Hills.

Our family enjoyed our stay very much at the Getaway cabin. The cabin was just as stated. Everything was clean and well kept. The cabin was very private and the setting beautiful. It was so nice to sit on the porch and listen to the songbirds sing. Our favorite thing was the little bird who would tap on the window each morning as if to say "good morning- time to get up". We will definitely be back!

Great place, only one concern!

Review Posted: Apr 13    Date of Visit: April
Overall, the cabin was a great place for staying. Everything we needed was there and it was very spacious. I only have one concern. The door knob for the main upstairs door way was extremely hard to operate. Many times it took 2-3 people just to get it to turn. I find this to be a huge fire safety issue. If a fire was ever started on the lower level it would truly be difficult to escape from the main door because the door knob would not turn and would stick. It was aggravating to work with. Other than that every thing else was great!

Great Family Escape

Review Posted: Apr 8    Date of Visit: March
This beautiful cabin looks small from the outside, but is spacious and beautifully furnished inside. It was the perfect get-away for our family of 6. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace every night - we brought our own Duraflame logs and they were perfect. The hot tub was sheltered so we could enjoy it rain or shine. There is a washer and dryer, coffee pot, televisions, bluetooth player, board games, and plenty of hot water. It is a steep driveway, but my daughter was able to make it up in her VW Rabbit. The gas grill worked well and the hiking is a quick 20 minute drive away. The view from the back of the cabin is beautiful and looks out over a beautiful wooded lot. There is a full sized refrigerator/freezer, electric stove and microwave. We would not hesitate to stay here again. It exceeded our expectations and truly made us feel as if we were glamping instead of camping.

The Cabins was nice , but could have used a good cleaning, Ceiling fans was collecting a lot of dust and vents in bathroom were covered in dust, other than that cabin was clean and well kept. Has 1 queen bedroom on main floor along with a full bathroom. Kitchen was minimally stock compared to other cabin I have stayed in. The sofa is the only seating available on the main floor and gets a little uncomfortable after and hour or so. Kitchen has a high table with wood stools that were uncomfortable to sit on. The loft were the King bed is located is open and can hear any foot steps or TV that is playing. The TV is either blasting so loud it is deafening or you can't hear it. No cell service or WiFi to make emergency calls to 911. Hot tub was nice. The Owners are nice. This is not a negative review, just pointing out some items that may be of concern to someone. Overall a very nice stay.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing weekend at the Getaway Cabin. The open floor plan, vaulted ceilings and cozy fireplace were exceptional! We loved every minute of our stay! But because this is a review and tool to help you outhers have the best experience, there is always room for improvement! The overall cleanliness was below average..especially the bathroom. The tub and shower were pretty gross. The towels and robes were faded and tattered from excessive use and washings..and we had no toilet paper! The grill was very bad..it is falling apart and in very poor condition! It should be replaced immediately! But like I said, we had an amazing time and would come back again!

We have had the pleasure of staying in The Getaway cabin twice now and are returning soon for a third visit. The cabin is very secluded and a great place to go for a romantic time away. The hot tub and fireplace add a pleasing ambiance to help relax and unwind. It's not too far from the local attractions or town, but we find that just spending time away from it all has been the best. The owner was very friendly and recommended a beautiful fall hike for us at Conkle's Hollow. We will definitely continue to stay and highly recommend this cabin to others.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our three night stay at The Getaway at Aspen Ridge. The distance from the other cabins made it a perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful New Year's weekend. The cabin is beautiful and clean, the wood burning fireplace and hot tub are wonderful amenities and the furniture is very comfortable. The hiking trails on the property were also very nice. The only drawback that we found was the lacking kitchen supplies. (basic pots/pans and cooking utensils such as stirring spoons, spatulas, cutting knives are sparse, so meal preparation was a challenge and there was little in the way of drinking glasses) The property owner was very easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions that I had. If I were planning another trip to the Hocking Hills area, I would certainly stay again at this property.

This was our first time to Hocking Hills and we were so impressed with this cabin. It was the perfect getaway from the rest of the world. We could not have asked for anything more. The cabin was clean, stocked with kitchen utensils for cooking, has comfortable beds, and the hot tub was clean and in great condition. We will definitely be coming back in the future. One bit of advice for first timers - there is definitely no cell service and the cabin does not have internet, so make sure to download driving directions to the sights you want to see ahead of time. We made this mistake and had to drive 25 minutes before we had service to look up nearby attractions. The cabin does have a bunch of information provided, which is definitely helpful, but in today's world of reliance on Google maps, it is helpful to download them for offline access.

This was our first trip to Hocking Hills so we didn't really know what to expect. We found this cabin a pleasing respite and were impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. It was very homey and offered many places to sleep. I loved the smell of the wood and enjoyed cooking and relaxing. We needed to get in touch with the owner and he responded quickly. He also shared that there are trails he is building around the sites and we were welcome to explore, staying on the trails, of course. The advice to use a 4 wheel drive vehicle is very good. I wouldn't ignore that if I were you. Our only con was that it was a bit of a drive to the different sites but it wasn't more than 20 minutes or so. I will definitely recommend this cabin to others planning a visit.

Labor Day Weekend with Multi-family

Review Posted: Sep 11    Date of Visit: September
2016 long weekend trip, our family consists of newbies and oldies to Hocking Hills. I found The Blue Ash cabin on this website and thought our 6 people ranging in age from 13-52 seemed like a nice place to stay for a few days. The place was very clean and tidy! Full basement with laundry, bedroom, living area and full bathroom. Main floor has full bathroom , fully stocked kitchen, and living area. Loft has a full sized bed and a day bed. Hot tub and full grill, fire ring, swings under the deck, dart board, plenty of linens too. We could have stayed there a week and been completely happy! The road is large gravel and two big hills, and the owner has a YouTube video to help find your way. It takes about 25 minutes to get to Walmart in Logan, so the cabin is nice country side, on the side of a hill actually. We have a crossover SUV and did just fine getting up the hills. Love this place and can't wait to go back and stay longer!

Everything was extremely clean when we arrived and very comfortable! It was nicer than we expected inside and we will definitely stay here again! The only thing to note is that the road leading to the cabin is a narrow, hilly, gravel road that is not really accomadating for smaller vehicles. It is in the middle of the attractions that hocking hills has to offer yet nicely tucked into the peaceful woods.

My family stayed just for 2 nights. I wish we would have stayed longer. Beautiful cabin! My suggestion is to print out directions since GPS on phone doesn't work without signal, and road is not well marked for turn off. (This is by no fault of Aspen Ridge.) We drove around awhile searching.
